Students, Alcohol and Drugs Conference 2020 - Date to be confirmed

“After careful consideration, we have come to the difficult decision to postpone our Students, Alcohol and Drugs conference 2020 on 19th May 2020. This is not a decision we have come to lightly, and has been made after reviewing the situation both internationally and across the United Kingdom with regards to the COVID-19 outbreak. The health and wellbeing of our delegates, speakers and staff are our priority and we are equally mindful of our responsibility to support efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We recognise the importance of this conference and are in discussions with Liverpool Guild of Students as well as the booked speakers to set a new date which will be communicated as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding at this time.” [Updated 17.03.2020]

Returning for its 3rd year, the Students, Alcohol and Drugs Conference offers workshops, talks and panel discussions to explore the issues surrounding alcohol and drug use in students across UK campuses. The one-day conference provides a unique opportunity for delegates to hear from and engage with sector experts as well as share expertise and good practice, develop strategy and network with colleagues.

In addition to workshops discussing how to promote responsible drinking in students, for the first time, the conference will also focus on developing a drug harm reduction approach.

Agenda highlights include:
